"Regular exposure to nature can help relieve stress, depression, and attention deficits. It can reduce bullying, combat obesity, and boost academic scores. Most critical of all, abundant time in natural settings seems to yield long-term benefits in kids’ cognitive, emotional, and social development."
Scott Sampson, How to Raise a Wild Child
Why Outdoor Education?
We live in an increasingly disconnected, technology-driven society. Kids today spend on average of 7.5 hours PER DAY on electronic media. At Camp Luther, we believe some of the most powerful, impactful learning comes when youth are engaged in impactful outdoor experiences. Outdoor Education equips your students with skills in communication, group dynamics, and problem solving while also building their understanding of the natural sciences through engaging, hands-on sessions.
