Camp Luther staff work closely with you to adapt our outdoor education program to your group's unique needs. Once your group is at camp, our highly trained staff will lead most of the sessions and activities, allowing you to engage with your students and focus on community building within your classroom.
Recommended for groups with students in Grades 5-12. Our program will be tailored to the age of your students.
Our designated 2017 fall outdoor education dates are September 20-22, 2017.
We have created a curriculum and schedule that allows us to host multiple schools together in order to keep costs down and add to the experience for the students. Your class will benefit from being a part of a larger group for some activities, while still having plenty of time for group building during activities and lessons for individual schools.
If you prefer your school to have its own separate dates or simply have schedule conflicts, we would also be happy to work with your group to schedule a one-day, two-day, or multi-day program that meets your needs.
Our standard two-night outdoor education program for the dates listed above is $100 per person. All required adults attend for FREE. If you're interested in a shorter or longer program, or different dates, please contact us about pricing. We offer a discount for schools who are attending one of our outdoor education programs for the first time!
What does a standard program include?
What involvement do Camp Luther staff have?
The Camp Luther staff prepare and lead most of the programming, including outdoor education sessions, programmed recreation, Bible studies and devotions, and meal times. When possible, a guest speaker is included in the program. Camp Luther also provides materials and equipment for all lessons and activities.
What involvement do teachers/adult leaders have?
Camp Luther requires one adult per eight youth, with at least one male and female adult for co-ed groups. Any required adults attend for FREE. As an adult leader, you are expected to participate in the schedule, assist with discipline, and be responsible for your students following evening devotions and at other free times in the schedule.
Housing is in our Retreat Center, which provides modern dorm-style accommodations for our guests. Individual rooms are shared by up to four persons, with community bathrooms/showers.
