Seasonal Program Coordinator:

Each year, Camp Luther hires two dedicated, motivated individuals to serve in a program coordinator role during the school year. This position involves working closely with our full-time staff team to coordinate and lead our retreat programs, as well as providing operational support for the ministry of camp.

Main Position Responsibilities:

  • Leading group and retreat programs throughout the year.

  • Working with full time staff to prepare for and promote our summer ministry programs.

  • Serving as a team member of the year-round staff community.

  • Supporting the ministry of camp in a multitude of ways behind the scenes.

Important Qualifications

  • Be willing to lead all manners of outdoor games, activities, and programs.

  • Be willing to work extended hours most weekends (with time off during the week).

  • Possess a strong, leadership-oriented mentality, with the willingness to operate in a team-focused environment.

  • Be able to independently lead a group, including facilitating faith formation experiences.

  • Affirm and support the ministry beliefs and practices of Camp Luther.

  • The ability to play guitar and song lead is strongly encouraged, but not required.

Salary/Benefits:

  • Pay is $250 per week.

  • On-site housing is provided in a cottage with full kitchen, bathroom, and living room area. This cottage may be shared with other seasonal staff, with each staff member having their own bedroom.

  • Meals are provided whenever there are groups on-site. (Usually this includes the majority of weekends and occasionally during the week as well.)

  • Live and work in a beautiful Northwoods setting, which is located on the largest inland chain of lakes in the world.

  • Start and end dates are flexible with this position. Preferred start date is August 29, 2019. End date will be dependent on the individual. Many of our seasonal staff continue on during the summer in a leadership staff role as a part of our summer staff team.

  • Although preference is given to applicants who can serve the entire school year, depending on availability and need we will sometimes hire seasonal staff to serve for a shorter time period at camp. Contact us for more information.
