WHAT IS GOING ON?

Hello from Camp! On January 26, all of Camp Luther's summer programs registration were opened. Unfortunately, due to a failure in our registration software, many families were left frustrated and confused. We made the decision to close the online registration and direct families to our Interest List so that our staff could manually register all campers into the system. We are proud to say that we have now successfully manually registered over 700 campers into the system. This has taken an extreme toll on our staff and they continue to work hard to make this process as fair as possible for you. We still have about 230 unregistered campers waiting on the Interest List. We see you! We are working to get through this list. 

We have now made the decision to shut down the Interest List to new entries at this time. It served a very helpful role in logging who needed to be registered in what order, and now we believe we can finish registering those who are already on the list.

What’s next, you ask? We will be re-opening the registration system on Campwise, March 10th. We have decided as a staff that this makes the most sense for us at this time. Our biggest concern is making this process as simple and fair to our campers and their families as possible even in these difficult times.

  • We want to give you an additional update on where we are at regarding working through the issues that were experienced with registration on January 26. Thank you so much for your continued patience and graciousness as we continue to work through this in the best manner possible!

    If you’ve received communication from us (email, phone call, etc.) that your camper is enrolled/registered, that means you are one of the 700+ people who we have sorted through and registered into our system for camp this summer!

    We still have another few hundred people to communicate with who were unable to register their camper for their desired program before we shut down the registration portal. To give us adequate time to respond to all these requests and to work through the issues we experienced with our vendor to ensure they do not occur again, we are planning to keep our online registration system closed until March 10th.

    This means that you will not be able to access your camper’s online account until we re-open registration on March 10th.

    At that time, you will be able to make payments, update roommate information, and complete any remaining forms or information you would like to add to your camper’s account. 

    Once again, thank you for your continued patience and support as we work through these issues with our registration.

  • We apologize that you were unable to register your camper as desired - due to technical difficulties outside of our control we made the decision to shut down our online system to allow us to sort through the issues experienced by registering families and to give us time to work with our vendor to ensure no issues will occur again when registration is re-opened. 

    It has been a slow process because of our desire to respond to all registration requests as fairly as possible. This has meant working through nearly 1,000 communication points in chronological order, reaching out to individual families to either confirm their camper’s registration or discuss other available options if their initial selection was already filled.   

    We wanted to reassure you that we’ll be contacting you soon! We still have over 700 spots available across our summer programs, so please know we’ll do our very best to find just the right fit for your camper.  

    In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to each of you individually to make sure you still desire to be placed in the program(s) you expressed interest in or share the options your camper has in remaining open housing spaces. We want your child to come to camp and are doing everything we can to make that happen.

    To ensure we have adequate time to communicate with all remaining families on our list before we reopen our registration system on Monday, March 10th, we will be shutting down our Interest Form to new entries at this time. 

    Note: If you have multiple campers with different registration statuses, you will receive an email addressing the appropriate status of each of your campers.

  • Thank you for your interest in registering your camper(s) for one of our summer programs at Camp Luther! Due to technical difficulties with our registration software outside of our control, we made the decision to shut down our online system to allow us to sort through the issues experienced by registering families as well as work with our vendor to ensure no issues occur again when the registration is re-opened on March 10th.

    We have received and verified more than 700 campers for our summer programs already, and still have a few hundred more requests that we are currently working through. To focus on communicating with all the families on our initial list, we have also closed our Interest List to new entries until registration re-opens on March 10th.

    You will be unable to access your camper’s online account until March 10th.

OTHER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Due to technical difficulties outside of our control, we made the decision to shut down our online system to allow us to sort through the issues experienced by registering families and to give us time to work with our vendor to ensure no issues will occur again when registration is re-opened. You will be able to register normally online starting March 10th.

  • After March 10th you will be able to access your Campwise online account. At that time you will be able to add roommate requests. You can also call or email our office for help with this.

    We do our best to fulfill roommate requests but they are not guaranteed.

  • Camp is not full! There are currently still about 700 spaces available in Camp Luther’s summer programs! The registration software crashed very unexpectedly and out of our control. It was not due to the camp programs being full.

    Just as happens every year, some programs or housing options may be limited but we are far from being full!

  • We are working diligently with our vendor to identify and refund any overcharges. You will be notified when we have completed this process.

  • At this time, we are focusing on getting each child registered for camp.

    When our registration portal reopens on March 10th, you will be able to log in and make any necessary deposits and/or payments.
