Improvements Fund

What is it?:
Our “Improvements Fund” is a restricted fund that supports our mission through the continual improvements of tangible items needed for programing, equipment, furniture, facilities, buildings, trails, and future expansion.

Why we have it?:
Camp Luther has over 200 acres and over 50 buildings to maintain and improve! Many of those buildings are very old...some are brand new! Some equipment requires lots of attention...some not very much. Some items on the list last a long time, some items need to be swapped often. To continue serving here at camp for the next 76 years, we need an improvement fund that helps us take care of what God has entrusted to us! We want to be good stewards of the donations and volunteers that support this camp that improve all that God has blessed Camp Luther with.

Our plan:
Step 1: Identifying all the potential improvement needs. We have spent a lot of time this year to accomplish this! The list is Huge! This list will be updated from time to time so check back often! Click below on the "Improvements List" to see that. It is not currently prioritized, rather it paints the big picture and need for the improvement fund.

Step 2: Addressing those immediate needs and concerns. Through your financial support, our staff, skilled contractors and lots of volunteers, we are able to move forward with projects that support long term sustainability of Camp Luther! Thank You!

Step 3: Continue identifying the prioritized needs. Sometimes we are looking at short term needs and sometimes our long term needs. We pray for continual wisdom in how we prioritize the current projects and the ones to happen in the next 2 years.

The Opportunity:

We will strive to use your dollars toward a project you desire, however, we reserve the right to put those dollars towards a different project as needs arise. We desire for you to support what we believe are the priorities at hand and come along side those projects. We can not accomplish all projects at once and some projects can only be completed during certain times of the year because of programming. Sometimes emergency's come up(One of our cottage bathrooms had a water issue that surfaced and we had to shift and make it a priority) and we had to address it quickly.
