Programming
Camp Luther staff will collaborate with your group leader to help plan your schedule for your time at camp, working to meet the needs and goals of your group.
Each group will be assigned a staff host who will help coordinate logistics for your group during your time at camp and who will be available to lead activities during your stay that require the presence of a Camp Luther staff-member.
Unlike a normal Camp Luther youth retreat, your adult leaders are responsible for the majority of your group’s programming while at camp. Adult leaders are also responsible for maintaining supervising of the youth in your group at all times.

All meals will be served on disposable serviceware, so that groups can grab-and-go with their meals if they desire. You are always welcome to take your meal and eat it outside or in your housing area. Seating in the dining hall will be set up so that physical distancing between groups can be maintained.
Camp and COVID-19
Our staff leadership team is working intentionally to develop our health and safety protocols for this summer, in line with guidance from the CDC and our local health department. High-touch surfaces in any shared spaces will be cleaned frequently, and our programming options for this summer are designed to minimize interactions between different groups. We are asking all groups at camp to be respectful towards other on-site groups and avoid unintentional contact with people who are not a part of your group.
IF YOU ARE SICK WITH COVID-19 SYMPTOMS AND/OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO SOMEONE WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 IN THE FOURTEEN DAYS LEADING UP TO YOUR SESSION, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO CAMP LUTHER. IF THIS IS THE CASE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE A FULL REFUND.
What about social distancing?
Following our local health department guidelines and the recommendations of the CDC, we are asking for you to socially distance while at Camp with anyone who is not a part of your group. Social distance guidelines include maintaining 6 feet between you and another person and avoiding extended contact while in indoor spaces.
If my group is okay not socially distancing with another group who is at Camp at the same time as us, will we be able to do this?
We will be enforcing social distancing rules in the dining hall and at any structured events led by Camp Luther staff. You are in charge of what you and your group does in regards to socially distancing at other times. We ask that you are respectful of others at Camp who choose to socially distance from you and others and that you practice social distancing with our staff.
Can I come to Camp if I have been recently ill?
If you are ill, have COVID-19 symptoms, tested positive for COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive to COVID-19 in the fourteen days leading up to your session, we ask that you please do not come to Camp Luther. If this is the case, you will have the opportunity to receive a full refund.
What if I get sick with COVID-19 symptoms while at Camp?
If anyone in your group experiences COVID-like symptoms while at Camp Luther, we will communicate with your group to determine the best course of action based on local health department guidelines. In the vast majority of cases, your group will be asked to leave camp. If this happens, you will have the opportunity to receive a pro-rated refund.
What are your health and safety protocols for your staff?
All our staff will undergo daily health screenings and will not be able to work if they have any COVID-19 symptoms. Camp Luther is following CDC/ACA guidelines in all of our camp work areas.
