“Regular exposure to nature can help relieve stress, depression, and attention deficits. It can reduce bullying, combat obesity, and boost academic scores. Most critical of all, abundant time in natural settings seems to yield long-term benefits in kids’ cognitive, emotional, and social development.”
— Scott Sampson, "How to Raise a Wild Child"

Camp Luther is still open for youth retreats this fall, including outdoor education. If you have questions or would like more information about scheduling a retreat for your group, contact Yata at yata@campluther.com.

We live in an increasingly disconnected, technology-driven society. Kids today spend on average of 7.5 hours PER DAY on electronic media. At Camp Luther, we believe some of the most powerful, lasting learning comes when kids are engaged in impactful outdoor experiences. Outdoor Education equips your students with skills in communication, personal leadership, and problem solving while also building their understanding of the natural sciences through engaging, hands-on sessions.

Camp Luther staff work closely with you to adapt our outdoor education program to your group's unique needs. Once your group is at camp, our highly trained staff will lead most of the sessions and activities, allowing you to engage with your students and focus on community building within your classroom.
